Our site is near the end of a leafy lane which had little passing traffic. Sited on ½acre, part of it slopes slightly. The ground drains exceptionally well as it is overlying chalk. This enables us to remain open all year as only in the most extreme circumstances is wet weather a problem, and then only for a very short time. 16 amp electric hook-ups are provided on all pitches and there is a wc and hand-basin with h & c water and hand-drier.
Dogs are welcome if under control. We have recycling facilities which we encourage caravanners to use. There are a number of tracks and footpaths to walk across Thanet’s historically open landscape.
Directions: Turn off A299 (Herne Bay – Ramsgate) onto A256 (sp. Margate & Broadstairs). In 1¾ miles at 6th roundabout (adjacent to Marks & Spencer at Westwood Cross) take the 1st exit (Star Lane Link Road) and then 1st left into Star Lane and bear right into Manston Court Road . In ½ mile turn right by the telephone box into Valley Road. Site is in ¼ mile, immediately past the farm entrance..(Sat Navs may result in an alternative route from the Holiday Inn on the A299 which is narrow).

The Locality: Margate, Ramsgate & Broadstairs have clean sandy beaches. Broadstairs has an attractive harbour, and Ramsgate a yacht marina. Nearby Westwood Cross has several supermarkets and department stores. Sandwich has a very attractive old fashioned town centre with narrow streets and Flemish style buildings. Dover offers opportunity of day trips to France, and Canterbury with its Cathedral needs no introduction.
There are numerous pubs in the nearby towns for meals as well as the Jolly Farmer in Manston Village. The Manston Sports & Social Club (temporary membership available) in Manston has live country music and dancing on Friday evenings.
